AMAZING Editorial Photoshoot

This was such a fun shoot to do! I created three looks..  The first was a strong black eyeliner which was the base that I worked off. All the looks were done on the spot with no inspiration pictures. It was all touch and go. I worked extremely fast, usually I am more prepared and delicate with lines and much more perfect.. yet this look was like art.. very fast, creative and just an unbelievable experience for myself.

Photoshoot Of The Week: Day 3

We had another early morning start to finish off the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. I was sad that it was coming to an end.. Once again makeup was kept uniform with only some tweeks in lip and cheek colour. The face again, doll like and very porcelain. The lips went from burnt brown/peach to tangerine through the shoot. Hair was the biggest change.. A very high voluminous bun that was kept very slick, feminine, elegant and elongated the already extremely tall models!

Photoshoot of the Week: Day 2

What a day! It was day two of Wanni Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Our day started at 8am with the beautiful models & designer. Makeup was once again was very sophisticated, fresh, and had an emphasis on porcelain skin and doll eyes. We wanted to create a contrast with the two gorgeous models and decided to have one up-do and one down. I set both girls hair in rollers, to give it maximum volume and hold. I also pin curled the ends to achieve gorgeous curls to last as we were outdoor on location. We kept Veronica's up-do the same throughout as it gave a very strong seductiveness look to her... I changed Rosie's look three times to suit the different looks. It was an unbelieveable day! We had great weather, an amazing photographer, fabulous location, expensive clothing and I had two beauties to work my magic on!

I honestly cannot wait to showcase the collection taken by amazing photographer Amy Nelson-Blain! It is just beyond mind-boggling!!

Hair How To: Bouncy Blow Dry

Hands down.. this has to be one of my favourite looks for hair down. Its voluminous, soft, feminine and very sexy in a elegant way.. 

At D&G's farewell show, the hypnotically bright collection was glued together with free flowing, blow dried hair. But while blow dries advertise themselves to be easy-to-achieve, it's actually quite tricky and it’s important to get the optimum bounce in the roots and ensure the soft waves frame the face.

Founded in 1837 in New York, Tiffany & Co. have been providing magnificent diamonds all around the world. What's a wedding without "THE RING" first...

Tiffany & Co. holiday advertisement campaign 2011 is simply Magical!! It features the lovely Laetitia Casta and actor Lee Pace, a glamorous celebration of the holidays and true love as photographed by Peter Lindbergh. As you can see from the beautiful video below, it’s so aspirational and romantic which is what their brand is about and it makes me want to get on a plane and hit NYC and wander through the snow holding hands being in love! Ahhh it's just so beautiful and romantic...

Foundation Series: Dry/Mature Skin

With so many options available, which is the best foundation for dry/sensitive/mature skin? I’ve found a few excellent foundations over the years. These formulas fit the bill with beneficial ingredients that will moisturize your skin all day. There is a mixture of light, medium and full coverage to suit different needs. Seek out foundations with natural oils and humectants (moisturizers) imbedded within the formula when choosing. It’s also best to choose a cream, liquid or gel foundation, since powders can dry the skin even more. One important thing to note is steer clear of mineral oil. It will clog your pores, and your skin will not be able to release toxins. It really is the worst ingredient so make sure to look out for it!

Photoshoot Of The Week: Day 1

So this is what has been keeping me busy this week... Here are some raw pictures of the makeup for the outdoor photoshoot. It was an amazing day, after weeks of Sydney rain the sky opened up to us and we had blue skies! The main concept of the makeup was porcelain skin very doll like with a very soft, feminine & sensual overall look! The outcome was just amazing! These pictures did it no justice! I cannot wait to share the professional pics with all of you!! Keep a lookout for this amazing collection! 

New MAC Makeup Line: Daphne Guinness

Daphne's MAC line is inspired by everything from "the whispered luxury of an antique Chinese porcelain vase," a breathy press release reads, to butterfly wings and even pigeon's blood. The collection includes multifunctional pigment powders, lip glosses, eye pencils, blushes, and nail polishes, and professes to be for anyone "unafraid to dirty her well-manicured hands" — just like Daphne, who worked on the collection for weeks, personally mixing her chosen colours and hues. This is a great idea for Christmas to make any girl smile from ear-to-ear.

Today's Photoshoot: Uber sexy 60's Bombshell

Arched brows, eyes lined like a 60’s bombshell & lips with a subtle hint of pink, the perfect look for The Blonds’ signature uber-glamorous style! This look is right up my alley, I love strong feline eyes!! For today's photo-shoot the designer is wanting to achieve a similar look. I will be using the main elements but incorporating a twist to keep it unique and fresh.
